Serotonergic

Serotonergic drugs are chemicals that affect how serotonin acts in your body. Certain nootropic stacks or Serotonergic combinations can cause serotonin syndrome when combined with other MAO inhibitors. Some combinations can be more deadly than others. An example of this would be serotinin reuptake inhibitor + MAOI can cause very bad and potentially deadly serotonin syndrome.

Serotinin syndrome can be caued by two of more Serotonergic medications or drugs. This can include but is not limited to:

SSRI’s (serotonin reuptake inhibitors)

SNRI (serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor)

MAOI (monamine oxidase inhibitor)

TCAs (tricylic anti depressents)

Amphetamines

5-HTP

St. John’s Wort

Ecstacy (MDMA)

Cocaine
